Ministry of Information and Communications presents the first Classbook interactive classroom

On August 12, 2014, the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC), in collaboration with Intel and the Vietnam Education Publishing House, presented the first "Modern classroom using the new generation Classbook" to Quang Lich Secondary School in Quang Lich commune, Kien Xuong district, Thai Binh province.
The classroom in Quang Lich, Thai Binh, equipped with 45 Classbook electronic textbook devices, is the first result of a series of efforts to fulfill Intel's commitments and those of its partners in the "Computers for Life" program launched by the MIC, serving the educational innovation policy of the Education Development Strategy 2011-2020 of the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET).
According to the plan, in 2014, Intel will provide five classrooms equipped with tablets and accompanying interactive solution software. Specifically, in Q3/2014, following Thai Binh, two more pilot classrooms will be presented to two schools in Nghe An and Gia Lai. In Q4/2014, Intel will continue to present the remaining two classrooms. It is known that the total number of devices for this program is expected to exceed the previously announced commitment of 100 devices to the MIC. This is a major effort by Intel and other partners such as the Vietnam Education Publishing House, Tinh Van Technology Joint Stock Company, etc., to bring more opportunities for Vietnamese children to access IT.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Phan Thao Nguyen – Deputy Director of the International Cooperation Department, MIC, highly appreciated the contributions of Intel Vietnam and its partners who have accompanied the "Computers for Life" program. This event has provided teachers and students of Quang Lich Secondary School with the opportunity to access modern, intelligent, and highly interactive learning tools, helping to change thinking and improve teaching and learning methods in a more effective direction.
After the presentation ceremony, all guests and teachers attended a sample lesson of 9th-grade History using the new generation Classbook teaching and learning device. Not only does it contain all the information of a traditional history textbook, but Classbook also integrates multimedia content such as historical documentary images, battle diagrams, illustrative video clips, etc., making students more excited about the lesson and absorbing knowledge more effectively.

Ms. Phi Van Hoa – a history teacher who directly taught the sample lesson, shared: "The Classbook electronic textbook helps students access more visual and lively lectures, such as following battle diagrams, documentary footage related to historical events in the lesson... Compared to traditional textbook teaching methods, students become more interested, learn faster, and remember knowledge longer. I hope that the application of the Classbook electronic textbook will soon be expanded nationwide to truly improve the quality of teaching and learning."
