Da Nang inaugurates e-Government Information System

On July 22, 2014, the e-Government Information System (e-GIS) of Da Nang city was officially put into operation. With this event, Da Nang became the first province in the country to use the e-GIS.
Mr. Pham Kim Son, Director of Da Nang Department of Information and Communications, said: “At the end of 2013, Da Nang city put into use a modern ICT infrastructure system including: Metropolitan network, Data center, Wireless connection system, Training and Research Center for ICT Application. And today, Da Nang continues to complete and synchronously operate the e-Government Information System. This system includes foundational databases such as the citizen database, geographic information database, management information system, administrative procedure database, and the system of online public services.”
Attending the inauguration ceremony in Da Nang, Minister Nguyen Bac Son commented: “The operation of Da Nang city’s e-Government Information System is of great significance, demonstrating the high feasibility of building e-Government at all levels. That is, the application of ICT truly has the ability to bring the government closer to the people and serve them better. From Da Nang’s results, it will certainly be a very useful experience for many other localities across the country.”
The e-Government Information System put into operation in Da Nang will become an important platform for deploying online public administrative services.
Da Nang city’s e-GIS is built on a comprehensive and advanced e-Government architecture framework. In which, Tinh Van Technology Joint Stock Company is honored to participate in implementing several important items, including the Contact Center system, a crucial component of Da Nang’s e-GIS, helping to reform administrative procedures and enable multi-dimensional interaction with organizations and citizens through online exchange, applied for the first time.
The successful implementation of Da Nang’s e-Government Information System is believed to become a valuable experience for other localities in building e-Government in the future.
