After delivering the opening remarks and approving the meeting agenda, Mr. Hoang To, Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of Tinhvan Group, on behalf of the Board of Directors and the Executive Board, presented a summary report on Tinh Van's overall operations in 2013, as well as the operational direction, targets, and tasks for 2014.
Against the backdrop of Vietnam's economy still experiencing many fluctuations and the aftershocks of the global financial crisis, Tinhvan Group's production and business activities in 2013 achieved notable successes. Specifically, total revenue increased by 15%, pre-tax profit rose by 30%, revenue per capita grew by 45%, and average income per capita increased by 14% compared to 2012.
2013 was also the year Tinhvan Group made efforts to standardize the entire system, reduce dependence on specific individuals, and move toward a professional corporate governance system on a Group scale. Tinh Van's Board of Directors restructured its membership to be leaner and more efficient, reducing from 9 to 7 members, ensuring optimal strategic direction and control activities.
In 2014, Tinhvan Group oriented its operations according to the "Go Global" strategy to bring Tinhvan Group to potential international markets such as Japan, Singapore, Southeast Asia, etc. The pioneering units to implement this strategy will be Tinh Van Software Export Joint Stock Company (TVO), Minh Chau Entertainment Joint Stock Company (MCC), Tinh Van Telecommunications Joint Stock Company (TVT), and Tinh Van Educational E-book Joint Stock Company (TVB).
At the meeting, all shareholders also unanimously voted to add two members to the Supervisory Board, Mr. Phan Quang Minh and Mr. Nguyen Quang Hiep, to further enhance the supervisory role over the Board of Directors and the Executive Board, thereby improving business efficiency in the coming years.
