On July 19, 2019, at Hacinco Student Village, Tinhvan Group held a company birthday celebration marking a quarter of a century, themed “Return to the Roots – A Quarter-Century Journey of Shining Together.”
The name “Return to the Roots” signifies coming back to the origins where all Tinhvaners first knew each other. The grand ceremony was organized in a village festival style to create a sense of closeness and familiarity for all members.
Attending this year’s “Return to the Roots” ceremony were not only current employees but also a large number of former Tinhvaners from many previous generations. Many members who no longer live and work in Hanoi also returned to Tinh Van for this anniversary.
The program began at 3:30 PM with a fingerprint check-in accompanied by signatures from all attendees on a painting of the “Tin 25” great tree. The painting will serve as a commemorative gift for Tinh Van. Upon check-in, former Tinhvaners received the book “Tinh Van Chronicles 25 – A Quarter-Century of Shining Together” – a special cultural publication unique to Tinh Van, along with a Tinh Van 25 uniform shirt. Moving into the village festival space, members could participate in fun and unique folk games including: Tinh peeling, Tinh clamping, Tinh can, Tinh stomping, Tinh push-pull, and bamboo pole dancing. To join the games and buy goods at the stalls, members needed to skillfully use 10 Tinh coins distributed at check-in to play as many games and buy as many items as possible.
The stalls were managed by member units, who proactively displayed and promoted their units, as well as organized activities such as introductions, presentations, sales, etc., to attract the most visitors. At the end of the program, there were “cool” prizes from the organizing committee for: • Best Booth (highest score from the committee) • Most Effective Demo Booth (most votes from the audience) • Most Effective Implementation Booth (collected the most Tinh coins)
According to Chairman Hoang To’s writing in the Tinh Van Chronicles 25: “Former Tinhvaners are like streams that have nourished the alluvial soil throughout Tinh Van’s quarter-century. A small space at the ‘Return to the Roots’ Village Festival was dedicated to displaying and honoring 25 outstanding former Tinhvaners and 25 current Tinhvaners.”
Tinh Van’s “Return to the Roots” ceremony is a place where old stories are recalled with deep emotion; where memories of “working together, eating together, playing together…” are recounted with great joy; it is an occasion for many generations of Tinhvaners to reunite, chat, and catch up after leaving Tinh Van.
At 6:00 PM, the formal ceremony began.
The ceremony opened with the familiar melody of the traditional song – Tinh Van Anthem – echoing throughout the hall. Then Chairman of the Board Hoang To, on behalf of the founders and Tinh Van leadership, shared his feelings and expressed gratitude to all Tinhvaners. Reaching the quarter-century milestone with pioneering achievements is not something many IT companies can do.
To recognize the contributions of Tinhvaners, for many years now, Tinh Van’s birthday celebration has always included honoring employees who have dedicated many years of their youth to Tinh Van. At this year’s Tinhvaners honoring ceremony, many more members who have been with Tinh Van for 5, 10, 15, and over 20 years were recognized… That amount of time may not be long for a business, but it represents the entire youth and passionate affection of many Tinh Van members.
Therefore, for many Tinhvaners who have left, they still remember their youth – which is Tinh Van. Perhaps that is why some former Tinhvaners hastily prepared a special performance for Tinh Van’s birthday. The performance “Táo về làng” was produced, directed, and performed by prominent figures in Tinh Van culture: Ms. Phuong Co Lo, Ms. Hoa Lac, Ms. Ha beo, Dung Dee, Ninh Lu, and Nhung vit.
Only after the ceremony ended did more former Tinhvaners call out to find each other, and more old stories were repeated without boredom. The farewells were reluctant, not wanting to leave, promising to meet again on the next return. Come back to Tinh Van to shine together again.
