Tinh Van Culture Day August: “Magic Night”

On the evening of August 9, 2012, Tinh Van Culture Day with the theme “Magic Night” took place at Face Café – Hacinco Student Village. Attending the event, Tinhvaners witnessed fun magic tricks and captivating performances.

Magic is a performing art that creates extraordinary transformations through special techniques or props, astonishing the audience. Its main characteristic is the irrational and unusual. A magician needs not only skill in techniques but also dexterity, the ability to engage the audience, and stage presence.

During the August “Tinh Van Culture Day,” Tinhvaners had the opportunity to meet, chat, and witness captivating magic performances by magician Long Kito, enjoy a mesmerizing belly dance, and special musical acts such as “Quê nhà,” “Đừng ngoảnh lại,” “Là con gái thật tuyệt,” “Vì anh là chàng ngốc”… performed by Mr. Phan Quang Minh – Member of the Board of Directors of Tinhvan Group, and friends Phạm Hoàng Giang, Vũ Anh Tuấn, Trần Thị Thanh Thúy, Nguyễn Thị Thu Uyên, Vũ Xuân Tú…

Under Long Kito’s guidance, Tinhvaners learned to perform simple magic tricks such as making a glass disappear and turning napkins into paper poppers… Long Kito said, “For a successful magic performance, 50% is acting, 25% is skill, and the remaining 25% is props. Magicians need not only good techniques but also dexterity, the ability to attract and understand the audience’s psychology.”
