Starting September 24, 2014, over 300 students at Ton Quang Phiet Secondary School in Thanh Chuong District, Nghe An Province, will have access to an interactive classroom using the Classbook electronic textbook.
The handover ceremony of equipment and solutions for the Interactive Classroom using Classbook electronic textbooks at Ton Quang Phiet Secondary School, Nghe An, was jointly organized by the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC), Intel Vietnam, and the People's Committee of Nghe An Province this morning (September 24, 2014).
With this event, Ton Quang Phiet Secondary School became the first school in Nghe An and the second in the country to adopt the Interactive Classroom solution using Classbook electronic textbooks. This is the next achievement in fulfilling the commitment of Intel and its partners to the "Computers for Life" program launched by the MIC in March 2014. Previously, on August 12, 2014, the program donated an interactive classroom with 45 Classbook electronic textbook devices to Quang Lich Secondary School in Kien Xuong, Thai Binh.
Speaking at the handover ceremony for the interactive classroom at Ton Quang Phiet Secondary School, Deputy Minister of MIC Nguyen Minh Hong stated that over five years of implementation, the "Computers for Life" program has mobilized more than 2,000 computers to equip schools facing difficulties nationwide. Feedback from recipient sites shows that the donated IT equipment is being used effectively by schools, contributing to improving the quality of life as well as teaching and learning.
Highly appreciating the efforts of all parties in bridging the digital divide between regions across the country, Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Hong expressed his hope that Ton Quang Phiet Secondary School will use the donated equipment effectively, become a model school in good teaching and learning, apply IT, and contribute to educational innovation. "We hope that bright spots like the interactive classroom using Classbook electronic textbooks at Ton Quang Phiet Secondary School will continue to be replicated so that millions more Vietnamese children can access this modern educational platform," the Deputy Minister said.
Over 300 students at Ton Quang Phiet Secondary School will have access to the Interactive Classroom using Classbook electronic textbooks.
The Interactive Classroom using Classbook electronic textbooks is a solution that helps teachers effectively control and manage the classroom. Through direct interaction on the screen and support from other projection devices, teachers can monitor and manage all student activities during lessons, while easily sharing lectures, materials, and exercises with students via the Classbook device.
Along with strong improvements in technology solutions, in addition to the content on the device, teachers can easily deliver lessons by connecting to an online learning resource library with over 1,200 teacher books, supplementary books, reference books, 5,000 sample lessons, and nearly 200 highly educational learning and entertainment applications.
For students, the Classbook electronic textbook is not merely a digital version of traditional textbooks with a full set of over 300 textbooks according to the standard curriculum of the Ministry of Education and Training, but also combines multimedia content such as high-quality audio, images, illustrative video clips, simulation applications, and virtual experiments, making the knowledge in the books visual and lively while allowing easy interaction during learning.
