Tinh Van Group Successfully Maintains Two ISO Certifications

On July 2-3, 2013, the assessment team from DAS-UKAS, United Kingdom, conducted a recertification audit of the Information Security Management System ISO/IEC 27001:2005 and a surveillance audit of the Quality Management System ISO 9001:2008 at Tinh Van Technology Joint Stock Company (Tinh Van Group).
Participating in this audit were representatives of Tinh Van Group's Board of Directors, department heads, relevant individuals, and three assessment experts from DAS-UKAS: Mr. Ho Mi Nin – Lead Auditor, Mr. Nguyen Duy Hung, and Ms. Nguyen Huong Giang – Auditors.
At the opening meeting, Mr. Pham Thuc Truong Luong – Deputy General Director in charge of Products, International Relations, and Quality Management at Tinh Van Group – requested that all relevant departments and units strictly comply to ensure the audit was conducted accurately and effectively. The assessment team also affirmed that they would work closely, avoid formalism, and accurately reflect Tinh Van Group's implementation according to the standards of the ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System and the ISO/IEC 27001:2005 Information Security Management System.
At the conclusion of the two-day audit, the assessment team noted that Tinh Van Group's units and departments had applied the processes well in accordance with the requirements of both ISO 9001:2008 and ISO/IEC 27001:2005.

At the closing meeting, Mr. Ho Mi Nin – Lead Auditor – congratulated Tinh Van Group on being recertified for the ISO/IEC 27001:2005 Information Security Management System and successfully maintaining the ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System.
According to Mr. Ho Mi Nin: “Tinh Van Group's strengths include a QA team with solid expertise and a high sense of responsibility; a dynamic and proactive management team, especially with deep understanding of security issues. Additionally, Tinh Van Group has the advantage of nine years of integrated application of the ISO 9001:2008 and ISO/IEC 27001:2005 quality standard systems. We were particularly impressed with the quality management information system on MIS (internal management information system) of Tinh Van Group. However, the audit results still revealed some non-conformities related to asset inventory procedures and document management.”
On behalf of Tinh Van Group's Board of Directors, Mr. Nguyen Son Tung – Deputy General Director in charge of Administration and Human Resources – thanked the assessment team for their recommendations and observations. With a receptive spirit, Tinh Van Group will accept and strive to overcome these weaknesses to further improve the Quality Management System as well as Information Security.
Tinh Van Group received the ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Certificate in October 2009 (previously ISO 9001:2000 in October 2006) and the ISO/IEC 27001:2005 Information Security Management Certificate in September 2010. In addition, Tinh Van Group holds the CMMi-3 certificate – a certification for software process maturity developed by the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) of the United States.
