Tinh Van Group holds Annual General Meeting of Shareholders 2019

On the morning of April 26, 2019, at the Sports Hotel, Tinh Van Technology Joint Stock Company (Tinh Van Group) successfully held its Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGM) for 2019.

Attending the meeting were members of the Board of Directors, Supervisory Board, Management Board of Tinh Van Group, and shareholders along with their legal representatives, representing over 90% of total voting shares. At the meeting, Chairman of the Board of Tinh Van Group, Mr. Hoang To, presented the Board's report to the shareholders. In 2018, against the backdrop of Vietnam's economy showing many positive changes and achieving outstanding results, Tinh Van also made new strides in technology, governance, and especially business performance. 2018 was also an important year, as on June 20, 2018, Japan's leading IT group TIS officially invested and became Tinh Van's first strategic shareholder. With TIS's participation, a series of work areas were deployed simultaneously. In June 2018, the Tinh Van Research and Development Center for Technology Application (TVLab) was established, focusing on research and transfer in the fields of AI, image recognition, natural language processing, chatbot, blockchain, and data science. The member companies of Tinh Van Group also achieved certain successes in business operations; although revenue did not meet expectations as planned, there was significant profit growth compared to 2017.
Next, the Chairman reported to shareholders on the Board's activities in 2018, the goals and plans for 2019, and proposals to the General Meeting of Shareholders. The General Meeting also heard reports from the Management Board, Supervisory Board, financial statements, and the plan for using 2018 profits.
During the discussion, shareholders raised several questions to the Board and Management Board regarding the Company's operations, all of which were satisfactorily answered. At the conclusion of the meeting, the attending shareholders voted to approve key issues, including the Board of Directors' Report, Management Board Activity Report, Supervisory Board Report; 2018 business results; 2019 business plans and targets; financial statements and the plan for distributing 2018 profits, with an approval rate of over 90% of total voting shares.
