Tinh Van Group becomes a member of the Vietnam Library Association

On June 21, 2012, at the National Agency for Science and Technology Information, the founding congress of the Library Union and specialized library chapters took place. Tinh Van Technology Joint Stock Company (Tinhvan Group) was admitted as an official member of the Vietnam Library Association.
Attending the congress were Dr. Ta Ba Hung – Director of the National Agency for Science and Technology Information, former Vice President of the Vietnam Library Association; Mr. Pham The Khang – President of the Vietnam Library Association; Dr. Vu Duong Thuy Nga – Deputy Director of the Library Department, Vice President of the Vietnam Library Association; Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Thuan – former President of the Vietnam Library Association; Mr. Pham Van Vu – Vice President of the Vietnam Association for Science and Technology Information; Mr. Pham Thuc Truong Luong – Deputy General Director in charge of Products, International Relations, and Quality Management of Tinhvan Group, along with over 200 delegates from nearly 100 specialized library and information agencies nationwide.

At the congress, Dr. Le Van Viet read the decision to establish the Library Union and the Vietnam Library chapter. Mr. Pham The Khang and Ms. Vu Duong Thuy Nga handed over the membership admission decision to Tinhvan Group.
In his speech on the current state of record and publication management in libraries, Mr. Pham Thuc Truong Luong addressed a "hot" issue for the library community: digitizing documents to ensure their longevity and maintain continuous access.

Accordingly, with the development of the Internet and modern technologies, preserving digital documents is a task that librarians will face in the coming years. Digital preservation will be an optimal solution for preserving library documents.
