Organizing the Program “A Day as a Tinhvaner”

On the morning of December 5, 2013, over 50 students from Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Hanoi University of Technology, and FPT University gathered early and enthusiastically participated in the program “A Day as a Tinhvaner” organized by Tinh Van Incubator (TVi).

Attending the program were Mr. Pham Thuc Truong Luong – Deputy General Director in charge of Products, International Relations, and Quality Management; Mr. Nguyen Son Tung – Deputy General Director in charge of Administration and Human Resources; Mr. Hoang Xuan Tung – Deputy General Director of Technology at Tinhvan Telecom; Mr. Dinh Hong Son – Member of the CTO Club and Head of Technology at Tinhvan Group; and Ms. Chu Lan Phuong – Head of Administration and Human Resources.

Experiencing “A Day as a Tinhvaner”, the students directly interacted with Tinhvan Group’s leadership, listened to sharing from CTO Club members about technology trends and Tinhvan Group’s product development strategy. All their questions about Tinh Van culture, the Bus philosophy, job opportunities, career paths at Tinhvan Group, TVi’s training model, and information about the recruitment campaign “Talent Candidates 2014” were thoroughly answered by Tinhvan Group’s leaders.

Concluding his sharing, Mr. Pham Thuc Truong Luong gave the students useful advice: “You should join a start-up project at a company or start your own project to gain experience and learn. Focus on improving communication skills, as this is especially important in your career and life. And always try to keep coding.”

With the name “A Day as a Tinhvaner”, the program took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere, giving the students the most comfortable feeling on their first visit to the company. Through the prize-winning game show “Picture Puzzle”, information about the history and 19-year development journey of Tinhvan Group was conveyed in a very lively and engaging way.

The program also allocated necessary time for Tinhvan Group employees to guide the students on a tour and familiarize them with the actual working environment at member companies such as Tinhvan Outsourcing, Tinhvan Telecom, Tinhvan Solutions… At each stop, the students were introduced to each department with its distinct functions but unified within the “Tinh Van Ecosystem”, and also learned about job opportunities at each unit.

For the first time exposed to a professional working environment, completely different from the educational space at university, many students showed surprise when encountering the images and work styles of Tinh Van employees, such as the receptionist’s greeting, tracking entry and exit schedules, and fingerprint timekeeping. Mr. Nguyen Van Thang – a third-year student at Hanoi University of Science and Technology – expressed gratitude for the warm reception and enthusiastic support from the Organizing Committee. Thang also shared: “This visit to Tinh Van has been very helpful for me and my friends. After the visit, I will strive and study hard to have the opportunity to intern at Tinh Van Incubator.”

The program “A Day as a Tinhvaner” was a great success, promising many more programs to be organized by TVi to help students access businesses, gain knowledge and experience, and better prepare for their future careers.
