TVO Sponsors 'Japan ICT Week 2013'

“Japan ICT Week 2013” was held in both Hanoi and Da Nang from October 23 to 26, 2013. Tinhvan Outsourcing (TVO) was honored to be a co-sponsor of the event. Mr. Nguyen Ich Vinh, CEO of TVO and Vice President of the Vietnam-Japan IT Cooperation Club (VJC), represented Tinhvan Outsourcing in receiving a commemorative plaque for this valuable and enthusiastic contribution.

After six editions, this year for the first time, the “Japan ICT Day” (a traditional event jointly organized annually by VINASA and the Vietnam-Japan IT Cooperation Club since 2007) was scaled up to become “Japan ICT Week 2013”. This event was also selected by the Japanese Embassy as one of the official activities under the program commemorating 40 years of Vietnam-Japan cooperation.

At the opening ceremony of “Japan ICT Week 2013” held this morning, Mr. Nguyen Ich Vinh also delivered a speech, sharing experiences on the strategy of building a mobile development team that meets the demands of the Japanese market – a topic of great interest in the software outsourcing field and one that is being implemented very effectively at Tinhvan Outsourcing.

According to Mr. Nguyen Ich Vinh, although Vietnam has a great opportunity to expand its market, increase scale and depth in IT cooperation with Japan, to seize this wave, Vietnamese enterprises need to define a long-term and differentiated strategy. At Tinhvan Outsourcing, this strategy involves proactively investing long-term in human resource development and internal training programs to build and develop a mobile workforce that meets technological demands and stringent customer requirements. This strategy is also reflected in Japanese language training, corporate culture within the company, and fostering loyalty among customers and employees.

Mr. Nguyen Ich Vinh also affirmed that Tinhvan Outsourcing enters the Japanese market not only as a service provider but with the desire to become a partner for mutual growth with Japanese enterprises.

“Japan ICT Week 2013” was organized under the patronage of the Ministry of Information and Communications, the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the Japanese Embassy in Vietnam. This was the first year the event was held in two locations: Hanoi and Da Nang, and also the year with the largest scale, attracting a “surge” of over 200% in the number of participating enterprises from Japan, with over 60 leading IT companies, including a delegation of 15 enterprises from the Japan Information Technology Services Industry Association (JISA – Japan's largest IT association), led by its Vice President. In addition, about 30 Japanese enterprises in Vietnam and nearly 200 Vietnamese enterprises attended the event.
