Tinh Van Group deploys digital library software for PTSC

Starting from September 2014, the project “Provision of Digital Library Software” (Libol) signed between Tinh Van Software Export Joint Stock Company – Ho Chi Minh City Branch (TVO HCM) and Vietnam Petroleum Technical Services Joint Stock Company (PTSC) will be officially implemented.

The project will be carried out from September to December 2014, comprising 8 modules and services: Cataloging module, Acquisition module, Advanced document search module, Patron module, Circulation module, System administration module, Digital asset management module, Full-text search module, and services for cataloging over 1,000 documents and digitizing nearly 400,000 document pages.

Once operational, the Libol software will help PTSC address the issues the company is facing in exchanging, exploiting, and storing documents with its member companies and other units in the oil and gas industry.

PTSC’s selection of TVO as the partner for the “Provision of Digital Library Software” project once again affirms the company’s reputation, capability, and experience in implementing digital library projects in the Southern market. Previously, this software has been deployed at many units such as: Ho Chi Minh City General Science Library, People’s Security University, University of Social Sciences and Humanities – Ho Chi Minh City, Anh Viet Informatics Company, etc.
